How are you travelling?
If you're walking to our Stanmore site from Stanmore station, please allow about 30-40 mins, and be aware that it is up a long hill. Please follow this route.
Alternatively, you can walk from Stanmore station up though the Stanmore Country Park.
Signage has been erected along the route through Wood Farm and Stanmore Country Park which marks the route between Stanmore station and the Trust.
The route will take approximately 20 minutes.
Why not use the route and improve your physical health and well-being?
If you feel nervous walking alone, maybe arrange with your colleagues to walk together.
Enjoy views over London and relax in an unspoilt natural environment.
Directions
The route is sign posted but these directions may help.
When you come out of the tube station, walk straight ahead and cross London Road.
Walk slightly uphill along Kerry Avenue. At the top of Kerry Avenue North, you will see a wooden gate. This is the entrance to Stanmore Country Park (marked 3 in Figure 1).
Walk straight ahead through a wooded area and then through a small clearing. Walk through a small patch of blackberry bushes until you come to a wide-open space. This is the start of Wood Farm.
Take a left across the field and then walk right up the hill. You will pass the viewing point.
Follow the footpath with Wood Farm residential buildings on your right.
Cross Wood Lane into the Aspire entrance to the RNOH.
Top tips
- The scenery is beautiful all year round and there is lots of wildlife diversity. Please be respectful of those you share the park with.
- In wet weather, the paths are muddy and wet. Good footwear is essential.
- Please note, at dusk and night, the walk is not well lit. You may prefer to walk with someone else, or carry a torch.
