Check out the amazing story of Jim Ashworth-beaumont, a Senior Orthotist here at RNOH. Jim's life was saved by London's Air Ambulance following a major road accident a few years ago. This short video explains what happened to Jim and the incredible work the Air Ambulance team do everty day, saving lives across London.
Jim said: "London Air Ambulance is a charity that's funded solely by donations, not the taxpayer. With rapid response, in minutes, they can reach and then stabilise the most profound injuries and get them to ER, massively improving the odds of survival. This is what they gifted me and all those people in my life. I have a future.
"They have just raised enough money to fund two new helicopters, and in September 2024 I was privileged to help describe what this meant for me.
"A life can shift in a split second, from the routine to almost certain death. While this unique and world-class medical resource remains in the sky, ready to respond, critically endangered people in London have a chance."
