We’re excited to announce that TV and radio presenter/comedian Matt Forde has joined the RNOH Charity as an ambassador. Last year, Matt recently underwent treatment at RNOH for spinal surgery and he’s now on the road to recovery, looking forward to helping us spread the word about our amazing hospital and the charity that supports it.
Matt said: “I’m delighted to become an ambassador for RNOH Charity. Just a few months ago I underwent life-saving treatment at RNOH. I will always be grateful for the talent and compassion of everyone who works there. I saw first-hand the difference RNOH Charity makes, from funding uplifting artwork for the wards to helping supply transformative equipment for surgery and rehabilitation. Because of that, I want to help the Charity improve the hospital experience for everyone. Now that I’m an ambassador, I had hoped to host lavish receptions with silver trays piled high with praline, but the Charity tells me that’s a different kind of ambassador.”
On Spitting Image, Matt voices Donald Trump, Boris Johnson, and Keir Starmer and has also previously appeared on The Royal Variety Performance, Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week, 8 out of 10 Cats and Russell Howard's Good News. Matt has also hosted radio shows on talkSPORT and has been heard on BBC Radio 4, as well as occasionally reviewing the papers for Sky News and contributing to features on ITV's evening news.
RNOH Charity strengthens the vital work of RNOH on an ongoing basis by providing extra services and facilities that are beyond the reach of the hospital’s NHS budget.
The Charity has funded all the high-quality equipment for every single ward in the hospital’s stunning new Stanmore Building, and a range of other enhancements, including a brand-new children’s activity centre, uplifting artwork, social spaces for teenagers and children, and two rehabilitation gyms.
