This year’s National Volunteers’ Week is a chance to say a heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers at RNOH who give hundreds of hours of their time volunteering every month.

Volutneer Ladies.jpgNational #VolunteersWeek, which runs from Monday 3 June until Sunday 9 June, is a chance to celebrate our volunteers and thank them for the invaluable support they provide to staff and patients.

This year marks 40 years since National Volunteers’ Week was launched. The milestone allows volunteers and staff time to reflect on volunteer achievements and gives us an opportunity to thank our volunteering community.

Our volunteers donate around 37,000 hours per year to support RNOH.

They have transported 153,000 patients on our buggies.

They have recycled over 400 pieces of equipment this year.

Volunteers support research, co-production projects, Outpatients Dept, admin tasks, Inpatients, transport, answer queries and call bells, help deliver food, answer phones and even offer a furry cuddle when needed - thanks to our therapy pets.
