RNOH is delighted to announce that Professor Manish K. Tiwari has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director to the RNOH Board.
Manish is Royal Society Wolfson Fellow and Professor of Nanoengineering at UCL and Director of Research in UCL Mechanical Engineering, where he helps curate the research strategy and related priorities. He has been part of UCL’s Wellcome/EPSRC centre for Interventional and Surgical Sciences (WEISS) from inception and will continue to engage in the centre in its future form for his work on the engineering innovations for interventional healthcare. He co-led the Manufacturing Futures Laboratory in UCL’s new campus in Queen Elizabeth Olympic park from conception and is currently part of the steering team. Manish is interested in nanoengineered systems for energy and healthcare, with special emphasis on sustainable materials and manufacturing technologies.
Manish has received a number of prestigious fellowships for his research. This includes Royal Society Wolfson Fellowship, Starting and Consolidator fellowships from the highly competitive European Research Council (ERC) and Yusuf Hamied Visiting Professorship from the Royal Society.
Commenting upon his appointment, Manish said: “I am delighted to join the RNOH Board, and look forward to making a meaningful contribution to its operations for better patient care.”
