Walking UP stairs

Screenshot 2025-02-10 at 15.11.57.pngStand close to the stairs. Hold onto the rail with one hand and the crutch/ crutches in the other hand (if you need to carry the second crutch up and down stairs the physiotherapist will advise on how to do so).


Screenshot 2025-02-10 at 15.12.19.pngFirst take a step up with your non-operated leg. Then take a step up with your operated leg, onto the same step as your non- operated leg. Then bring your crutch up onto the step. Always go one step at a time.


Walking DOWN stairs
